  • Enrolled at BYU and actively pursuing, or just recently completed, a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Mathematics, or similar technical majors with programming experience

  • September 24th - Participating in the Engineering and Technology Career Fair

Description: 

ExxonMobil's Information Technology organization partners with other ExxonMobil business organizations to deliver computing technology needed to maintain ExxonMobil's premier position in the oil and gas industry. Full-time and internship opportunities are available in systems analysis and design, application development and support, database design and management, internal consulting, project management, and computing infrastructure including security, networking, performance and large computing clusters. Examples include, but are not limited to:

TECHNICAL APPLICATIONS

  • High performance computing, visualization, geoscience and engineering applications
  • Software development in C# (.NET) and C++ (.NET and Linux)
  • Massively parallel and cluster processing software development
  • Working with geoscience and engineering researchers capturing technology in software


BUSINESS APPLICATIONS

  • Consulting with business partners to provide solutions to complex business problems.
  • Managing technology projects ranging from in-house to vendor solutions
  • Integrating in-house and vendor software to address business problems and workflows
  • Analyzing global application performance and resolving critical problems
  • Managing and supporting large databases

 

INFRASTRUCTURE

  • Protecting corporate networks from hackers and virus attacks
  • Enabling internet, intranet, and e-business connectivity and collaboration
  • Supporting automation tools for managing terabytes of stored data
  • Supporting dual-processor LINUX clusters totaling over 800 nodes, (over 1600 processors) for seismic processing, reservoir simulations and breakthrough Upstream research work
